My dog does the same thing...hits all the BBQ hanging tools while he's there, too!I'm also in the no cover club. I have the official Weber cover but don't use it. The second Genesis Silver B I restored is in the garage.
I always have to remember to pop the grease pan out because otherwise my dog somehow licks it clean in place
