Should I add a gas grill to my fleet?

Scott, that’s the whole point!👍😉
It’s always about taste, texture, appearance and MOST of all those memories!
I cannot cook a pork steak without thinking about my Dad with a glass of beer from a “Hamm’s tapper” sitting at the “Buddy L“ brazier with the warming oven and the aroma.
Honestly, I’d give anything for one more summer afternoon eating one of those with Dad!

I like cooking with lump, but when it's late and you are in a hurry to eat...

Freezer is set to - 9 F. Not as cold as it is in Canada, but the patty was frozen solid.

I say, this looks like a challenge to me! Two challenges, even!

I have an outdoor range and I can start a chimney full of briqs (I don't have any lump at the moment) in very short order. I'll time it next time, but I don't think even that can top your 12 minute speed.

As for the duplex chicken Tim mentioned, well, maybe after you finish your samon burgers...

Eating a salmon burger in one hand, cleaning the new grill with the other, getting ready for poulet double...a true multi-tasker. Pictures to follow soon!

I should add that I use the side burner on my gasser to light lump charcoal in a chimney more than I cook food on it.

When I have the time I'll cook on my BGE or kettle or both.

I am waiting with bated breath! Do you have a temp controller on the BGE?

You almost had me looking at getting a gasser Dan, till I saw that you put cheese on salmon. Dodged a bullet there.😀

Well I picked this one up for $125. It looks in really good shape. The guy also said he never registered the grill with Weber, so I think I will be able to get parts for at least a while if I need to.

Looks good.

appears to be an E 310 special edition with SS grates. I've cooked on a LP E 310 with CI grates and it is a decent cooker. I suggest checking both sides ( inside top, and underside) of the lower shelf for rust. My 2016 E330 has a slight amount, and a friends 310 has early signs. Both need attention this spring.
