Seasoning Hamburgers


 
I use a special burger. It is purchased from gateway Market in Des moines and it is refferred to as "The perfect Burger". It is a mix of ground brisket and chuck. It is ground and pressed in a way that all of the fibers go one way (up and down). I then season just the top with Famous Daves burger and steak seasoning. Then its grilled to med rare - med. I have had many people tell me its the best burger they ever had and I probably agree.
 
My parents used to mix 2lbs of ground chuck with a package of French onion soup mix. Always came out real good and I still do them that way every once and a while. Sometimes a small can of chopped mushrooms gets added in.

But on the other side you can't beat a Montreal steak seasoning on the outside as mentioned in a couple posts up.
