Saving ribs - food saver broken

I've always foodsavered left over ribs. I do 3 or 4 racks, we split one (just the wife and me) and save half-rack portions for winter suppers. Well, after the ribs were done our Food Saver machine conked out. I've got four 1/2-rack portions cooling down now, but how can I save them until our replacement machine arrives in a couple of days? I was thinking cling film and, once cool, straight into the freezer but I don't think that's the right way. Suggestions?

If you've got gallon zip-top bags, draw a sink full of water, insert the ribs into the bag, and sink the bag just up to the zipper. That'll force most of the air out, most of the way to a decent vacuum seal.
