Saved $18 By Using What I Already Had

I was going to stop off at Home Depot to buy a Rib Smoking Rack, but I remembered that I already had this. It's the rack from my oven roasting pan. I can probably prop up a few racks of ribs using this thing, and not only that, but I don't have make storage space for more hardware.

About the ribs, this was my first attempt to BBQ ribs other than my old gas grill, but they came out pretty good. I only had 2.5 hrs to cook them before people started groaning for food, and I was working beforehand. The ribs themselves are the Farmer John back ribs that come wrapped in plastic from the rib factory. They were kind of lacking (not enough meat on them). They did have a lot of flavor, but I could have gone heavier with the wood smoke. I was worried about over doing the smoke, but they could have taken more. Anyways, I guess you learn with experience these things.

Sorry I didn't take any more pictures, but hey, I'll throw in a picture of burgers I made for breakfast last weekend.
