Sausage. any difference between links and rope?

my local high end gocery store has an awesome meat dept. Their sausage is to die for. made fresh everyday. They have their tomato basil and roma on add.

I was wondering if there is any difference in cooking time in a WSM between the two. Do you guys have a preference in terms of taste? I have never cooked a rope before.

It's all good. One is short while the other is long. Same sausage just a different look. Links are easier to manage/flip/turn than a long rope.
