SAUSAGE AND PRO Q STACKER

I have been having great success with two pork butts 7-8 lbs over a 14-15 lb brisket. I am wanting to add some sausage or links to the mix and have a couple questions:

#1 What type of sausage is good to smoke? Brats, Kielbasa, German Sausage? or any others? I am not wanting to make my own though.

#2 Not related. Anyone out there who has used the PRO Q WSM Stacker? I saw Freds Video and Chris A's video but am worried about the lid fit. Either a Stacker for X-mas or will wait and save for the 22" WSM.

Have been using the site for almost a year. Thanks to everyone for all the info.

I have a stacker. Have only used it twice, but I was happy with the results both times. The lid does stick and I had a little "BBQ Goo" drip down the side, but the overall performance was good. Did not affect temp control at all and you can cook a ton of meat. I did 9 butts without difficulty.

That being said, I'm probably going to retire it after only a few uses because I don't think I can resist the big WSM.

If you're only getting one, save for the Big Daddy!

Hi Greg. I bought the stacker and while it works very well in terms of holding temp and allowing more cooking space, the lid is a pain in the you know what to get off if your the only one around. Last time I used it I needed a friend to hold the middle section so I could get it off. I need to figure out a way to keep it from sticking. Anyone have any ideas?
