Life has been busy for me the last month, so Saturday I had sometime to do some grill'in.

Wife picked up a couple of Sirloin Steaks, I applied some Penzey's Chicago Steak Seasoning (love this stuff)

I like Lime juice and Chili Powder.

Jeff,
On the onion and potatoes, did you pre-cook the potatoes? They look sorta...cooked.
What's in the bag with the onion? Butter, Salt & Pepper, Worcestershire?

Charles I didn't precook the potatoes, they are Yukon's that Jim Lampe cooks. As for the onion its a vidalia onion that I cut the top off and scoop the middle out and put a beef bouillon cube in and then butter and rap in foil.

Great looking steak and potatoes. I like my corn plain from the grill. My wife will sometimes put mayo, parmesan cheese and hot sauce on her corn. I won't even try it, it looks really disgusting.

Also nice choice of beer too! Fat tire is good stuff!

That dinner looks Fantastic!!!! I like the idea of putting the onion in the foil, I'll have to try that the next time I fire up my grill. Thanks for the pics!

I love those onions too. Can't have a steak with out them anymore. Here is a recipe if someone wants it:

Saturday Night Vidalia Onions
Recipe courtesy Paula Deen
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 45 min
Serves:5

Ingredients

5 large Vidalia onions or comparable sweet onion
5 beef bouillon cubes
5 tablespoons butter
Pepper

Directions
Prepare a fire in a charcoal grill.

Trim a slice from the top of each onion, and peel the onion without cutting off the root end. With a potato peeler, cut a small cone-shaped section from the center of the onion. Cut the onions into quarters from the top down, stopping within a half inch of the root end.

Place a bouillon cube in the center, slip slivers of butter in between the sections and sprinkle with pepper. Wrap each onion in a double thickness of heavy-duty foil.

Place the onions directly onto the hot coals and cook for 45 minutes, turning every so often. These can also be baked in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 45 minutes, but I still say they're better grilled over charcoal. Serve in individual bowls because the onions produce a lot of broth, which tastes like French onion soup.

Forget the steaks, hand me the Fat Tire!

But seriously, looks great as usual...now send me a case of that beer.
