sand users, how do you keep out any drippings? I know foil is used, but if any gets by the foil, do you replace sand? Never used sand but I'm gonna give it a try.

thanks

Jim,

"Keep your sand dry" If you use a single piece of wide foil to cover the sand you should have no problem with leakage.
Best of luck to ya.

Jim...

As Steve stated...cover with some foil......nothing will get through. Just be careful when folding up the foil. If the grease is still very liquid, let it sit overnight to soldify.

Over time the sand will start to clump. You can do a couple of things when you see this.....break the lumps up by simply squeezing them OR replace the sand. Play sand is cheap...about $2-3 per 50 lb. bag. 1 bag will last for several years.

Wide, heavy duty foil is key. Also, no harm in putting down two layers of foil over the sand as added insurance.

Regards,
Chris
