Salt substitute for poultry brine?

I always use kosher salt in my brine; I was wondering if I could use something like Mrs Dash instead; also wanted to know about the results. I once read that low salt brine is a no no. Wanted to know from those on you in this forums who know more and better than I do (all of you).

Brine by definition is salt water, anything else is probably considered a marinade.

I'm thinking about trying herbamare (seasoned sea salt) soon. I'm no expert on brining, the only thing I've ever brined is a pork loin for Canadian Bacon a few years ago.
