S6 Summit Kamado Discontinued?

I read something on one of the Weber Kamado Facebook pages about this and visited the Weber site- the E6 is available but the S6 says “notify me”.

Anyone hear anything about this or is this grill just on “back order”?

For what it’s worth, the S6 is available again on the Weber website.

The rumors were not true.

Glad Weber is still producing these outstanding grilling machines.

A little more expensive, but what isn’t these days

Hey David! No, there are no updates to the E6 for 2025. We should have more stock available sometime next month.
John,

Is it being discontinued for 2026? This video has heavy discounts in Canada and certain Costco's.

Best grill I own, and it would be a real shame if that is the case.....

He makes some good points. But I would say the Costco discounting of in store units is par for the course and we have seen the same on Genesis II E335 & E435. And while we know they are discontinuing those eventually i believe its been a couple of yrs now. They still have both on the Costco website for pretty standard prices but have been popping up in stores at massive discounts at times.

A 3rd option could be that they are making these Costco exclusives. The other 2 Weber's they carry are now. Maybe they develop a more expensive model with a door on the front to add fuel and these remain at Costco.

i don't think i've ever had to add fuel to the wsk mid-cook. and i've done whole packer briskets and PBs.

Hey Todd!

No, it's not being discontinued for 2026.

I saw this video and actually replied in the YouTube comments to try and dispel the rumor.

Any discounts you're seeing in either Canada or at some Costco's are entirely at the discretion of the retailers.

We have made 2 different Costco exclusive versions of the Summit Kamado. For Canada last year, we offered a Summit Kamado E6 with cover. This year we offered a Summit Kamado E6 that was rebranded as a Weber Kamado E6, but it was otherwise identical to the regular Summit Kamado E6.

Thank you, John. I think it could be marketed better for being the jack of all trades that it is. Add in that it works great in wind, rain, and cold due to the double wall, and you have such a great smoker / grill. It's also got really nice heavy-duty grates both charcoal and food. And multi-level charcoal positions.

Throw on a Thermoworks Billows and you have ease of pellets with taste of charcoal. There's plenty of other accessories that could be added, and cheaply for Weber (ie. the best one is the 18" pizza pan that I use as drip pan (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DZGBOPG?tag=tvwb-20) sitting on ceramic blocks over the deflection pan).

For what it's worth, please pass that on up the chain.

There's no doubt that our Summit Kamado doesn't get the attention it deserves as what I consider to be our best, most versatile grill! We've always got our eyes and ears open to new ideas and product improvements, so I'll be happy to keep your suggestions in mind, both marketing and development-wise!

maybe aggregating a bunch of accomplished WSK owners to do cook-offs of their favorite meals prepared on the WSK and publish that video on YouTube for some viral, real-world marketing would help. sometimes people just need to see things in action to realize how easy it is to use and own.

Set up some grills in the parking lot of a sports, music or other type of event smoking brisket.

If people could actually see the grill in action and could sample the results it would burn the desire to own one firmly in their brain.

In my opinion.
