Running two ET-73's

Can anyone tell me whether you can use two Maverick ET-73 remote thermometers side-by-side (to support two cookers) or will the RF signals cross. I did not notice a way (e.g. dip switches) to change the frequency.

Hey Rick!
I used a Mav ET-7 and a ET-73 side by side before with no problems for a dual grate cook.

No, I'd just turn them on and pair them with their receivers separately (a few yards apart) so that you don't accidentally pair two receivers to one sending unit.

According to the ET-73 manual ...

3. Turn the Receiver on by sliding switch on the rear of the receiver from OFF to ON.
4. Turn Transmitter on by sliding switch on the rear of the transmitter from OFF to ON. This needs to be done within 60 seconds of turning on the receiver in order for the receiver to register the signal from the transmitter. If it doesn’t beep within 5-10 seconds slide switch OFF wait a few seconds and then switch back ON. Pressing and holding the TX button for 2 seconds will do the same thing as turning transmitter OFF and then back ON.
5. Registration is complete when the unit beeps ..."

The transmitter and receiver sync up and this is how they know to talk to each other exclusively.

It's the same principle how your cellphone knows to talk to just your bluetooth headset.

BUT ...

What happens if 2 transmitters and 2 receivers are turned on at the same time within range of each other?

Can one of you test this?

I use two of them all the time. Like it's been said, you just need to turn them on one at a time. Also, I used a sharpie and numbered mine to help figure out which one is which. Like I put a "1" on both receiver and transmitter for the first pair and a "2" on the other one. This way when I'm looking at the receivers inside my house I can quickly know which one is going to which transmitter.
