hi a friend of mine has just got me 5 bottles of big poppa rubs! So if I was to cook some rump steak would I sprinke it on before the cook or after! Also got a bag of tatonka dust!

Sean, Congratulations on the gift. BPS rubs are excellent. OH... I'd put the rubs on prior* to cooking.
You can also layer the rubs for different flavor profiles.

* If you have one of BPS's finishing rubs, that would be added during the very last part of the cook (over and above those you added prior to the cook).

Awesome Sean! I've used all of Big Poppas's rubs, and you can't go wrong! I always put the rubs on before I cook. The Happy Ending rub works best with Money Rub and I put it on 10 minute's before I take my food off the pit.

Little Louies has become my secret weapon in the kitchen, I put it on everything! Pork chops, fish, chicken, baked potatoes - it's a winner!

Another great rub selection you can't go wrong with is Simply Marvelous. BPS carries their full line.
A combination of these two rub manufacturers, SM & BPS, is called the 'West Coast Offense'. :)
