Rub over night?

I've always applied rub an hour or so before I put the brisket in. I was thinking about trying the rub on overnight. I'm a little hesitant because it is a salty rub and I'm worried it will draw the juices out. Are there any advantages to applying the rub the night before?

Bill, the only time I rub the night before is when I use a wet paste rub, little to no salt used in the paste rub. Yeah if the rub is on the salty side, I'd skip putting it on the night before. JMO

I used to do all my rubs the night before, but not anymore. Didn't really see any benefit from the results.
