I've tried a number of spices and rubs for my ribs, and I like almost every one I've tried, but every time my family insists I return to the "Dry" Ribs rub from Weber's Big Book of Grilling, page 163. I, too, reduce the salt by half without consequence. Give it a try; you might like it.
