Road scrap fire pit ideas

The crew dropped off a round catch basin casting (300lb) which I am giving to wife’s son for their back yard as well as the rest of a “Curb Cut” square one (about 400 lb.) which I’m trying to figure out the best way to use it for a different design, right now I’m thinking a couple of courses of brick to make it a slightly deeper available bowl. Maybe one course with a heavy grate followed by the second course? Then set the iron and install the storm sewer grate to be useable for Dutch Oven or other CI cookery. Possibly an adjustable rack? Still in the thinking phase, I have to finish the kitchen remodeling but, that was disrupted by the “current circumstances”.
Projects, projects, projects!

Thanks for the “like” Larry but, does that mean you like the double course with a fire grate or simply the reuse of something which would be going to the scrap yard? I figured you would have a design idea, you rascal!
The big problem is my old frame moving the bloody things! Once I decide where it’s going, it’s not moving so, this isn’t going to happen until after I (sadly) sell the old Jeep! Orientation in the area I think I want to put it is another thing.
Geez, that’s one MORE project phase to determine!

Wife’s son is a serious weight lifter! I have learned the value of working smarter not, harder! Which in my case means delegating labor to the “younguns”! I do not plan on changing placement once I lay the first course.
Her son went in to the office today for the first time in weeks, mixed feelings about it but, plastic parts for Ford should be getting back in the flow soon.
The heavier one is staying here, the lighter one (300) goes with the kids. Mine will be in at least two pieces aside from the base.
Will post pictures when I get it sorted out.
