Cooked some venison this week. It was great, but my camera just took all blurred photos. I didn't realise it in the moment.
So here is a blurry picture. The only thing you can truly see is my crocs.

And then later this week, some steaks. It was very windy that day. Not sure if that was the reason, or if I loaded the kettle up with too much charcoal. The indirect part of the cook was not indirect ebough.

But the searing part worked out beautifully.

Ended up with well-done steaks.

With the gas grill I cooked steaks with a reverse "reverse sear". I seared them first and then used the ambient heat to cook them indirectly. It was a lot easier to hit the right internal temperature. Gonna experiment some more.
