reverse 12v power....

i have a build that i am wanting to use battery power to run the HM 4.2.4... my question is...

I am using cat5 between the H4/Pi and the blower/servo

I need to mount the battery on the side with the blower/server and I would like to run the 12v power BACK to the HM/PI via pins 1 & 2 of the ethernet port and to the 12v barrel connector or the HM. is this ok? any worries I need to be aware of? are pins 1 2 7 8 totally free for use?

Correct. 1, 2, 7 & 8 are not physically connected to anything.

It should also be noted that pin 4 is tied directly to ground, so you only need to worry about getting +12v back to the barrel connector jack on the PCB.
