Hi everyone,

I am restoring a Performer I picked up off Craigslist last fall for 20.00.

I'm hoping someone can give me the measurement of the distance between the lower braces where the wire shelf would be.

It was missing the lower back brace, and the front was pretty well rusted, and they are no longer available for purchase, so I picked up a couple of oak pieces that I'm going to use as the braces. The wire shelf is also not available, so I plan on staining some 2" wide oak and using that instead.

Am i making any sense?

The lower braces are 33 inches
and the distance between them is 13 and 3/4 inches

hope this helps

The braces are still available for the 2200 genesis but they are about 34 inches. These could be cut to size and used and they are about $10 each

Those cross braces have an insert that is friction fit in. This is what the bolts thread into. You should be able to push these out of the cut off section and into the newly shortened piece.

Looking forward to seeing your finished project.

Does anyone know where I could by some of these inserts?
I tried mcmaster Carr they had nothing I could find. Also tried HD ans lowes
Any help would be really appreciate
Need these for a restore

Thanks
