Reset to Default AP

in 2020, I had to update the internet and the router so the kids could do online school.

The heater meter wouldn't connect to the new router, so I retired it until today.

I can't get the Pi Zero to default to the AP so that I can connect and setup wifi. I have reflashed the image with no luck.

I was able to hook up a RasPi 1 with LAN adapter, and can connect that way and setup the wifi, so I know everything works.

But the generic USB wifi adapter from the Pi 1 doesn't transfer over when I connect the Pi Zero W.

I just get the failed DNS warning under network settings (using Version 5).
 
Turns out the Pi Zero internal wifi card was no longer working.

Switched to another Pi Zero W from my inventory (which is now dwindling, I miss when these were $10) and now all is good.
