Remote Thermometer with Data Collection.

I was recently wondering if I could find a thermometer with an ethernet connection - this would allow you to use a web-capable cell phone to track temperatures from anywhere.

It looks cool - the cost is a touch steep, though. Since the smoker's outside, it would require me to run a network cable to the smoker.

If the device were cheaper, and ran over wi-fi, I'd be all over it.

Yeah...It's a shame that the device only registers up to 120'F
If they were to increase the range ...it might fit the bill.
Their software says <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> TempElert lets you know there may be something wrong, anytime, anyplace, and anywhere by using the global TCP/IP network, Email, and SMS messaging to ensure notification. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> So there you go.... not to mention tapping into it over a WAP.
