Reheating Tri Tip

I have about a pound of leftover, un-sliced tri-tip that I was going to turn into sandwiches. My plan was to slice it thinly and reheat on the grill, but I'm now wondering if there might be a way I could do this in a pan with some type of liquid to use as a dipping sauce for the sandwiches.

Has anyone done this? I'm not terribly creative when it comes to putting sauces together, so if anyone has good ideas I'm willing to try them.

Thanks

A pan with a little low sodium beef broth and a tablespoon or two of your fave BBQ sauce should get you from here to there. A couple of onion slices or a pat or two of butter in the broth wouldn't hurt either.

Brian, for what it's worth, I regularly re-heat my leftover sliced tri-tip in the microwave, in a covered dish containing about an eighth-inch of liquid, reducing the power to about 40% and extending the cooking time.

Never experienced any problems with that method, although it helps when the meat was cooked to about 135º to begin with.
