Range Master briquettes

I was in Aldi the other day and they had Range Master Briquettes on clearance for .99c for a 16.6lb bag. I picked up only 2 bags because I don't know if they're any good or not. Has anyone ever used these? I emailed Aldi to try to find out who makes them. Haven't heard from them yet. If they're ok I'm gonna have to pick up a lot more if there are any left.

In most situations like this you waould always think it would be a buncha crap but i would try out any product for a buck so let us know if its good i might have to look this up.

At 99 cents I'd have bought all they had. I paid $2.99 for it a few weeks ago and thought it was a good deal. I've only used it for grilling and it works fine. I can't tell you how it holds up in the smoker.
