Looks like HD in general not carrying Rancher briquettes anymore, What's everybody going to use in it's place ? I was prepared to buy my whole seasons usage, about 12 bags, if it were to be on sale again this Memorial day ? John

You know walmart sams choice is what I've been using mostly since running out of rancher.I've been pretty happy with it. Although I used a few bags of kingsford as well. John

Do you know for sure that HD will not have Rancher or do they just not have it yet? Its only mid-February now. Still a lot of summer-only items not in stock at stores like HD.

I read somewhere on the internet, that HD will not be selling Rancher this year. I hope it's not true, but there is nothing we can do about it, i suppose. John

There have been many threads discussing Rancher. Unfortunately, The consensus has been HD is not going to carry it. There was talk that Lowes may pick it up. I hope some chain picks it up. I still have roughly 50 bags but that will start going quicker once spring gets here.

Personally I have a wait and see attitude about HD. I bet last year at this time there was only a few people who knew they were going to selling rancher. I sure hope some chain picks it up. I hate the thought of having to go back to K.

Bryan I use Royal Oak and Frountier on occasion. I just like the consistancy of the briquetts. Especially the Rancher, I haven't ever had ash build up using it. It is the best briquette I have ever used.

Jeff, I agree that the Rancher is a great briq. I'll rate it second only to the Maple Leaf briq that is no longer avail here in the states. I'm lucky to have Humphrey's lump available to me, at a great price, so no King for me.

I read about Humphrey's at the naked wiz. I haven't found anyone around here who sells it. Frontier and RO are the only brands I have found around here. Well besides Cowboy and K lump. After the reviews I just leave those alone.
