Quick-thaw method works for meat, fish

Like Walter I've been doing this for a while, but it's good to know that there isn't anything unsafe or marginal about it. I always thought it was one of those things that you really 'shouldn't' do but I did it anyway, sometimes.
 
I have also been doing this for years, but only with boneless chicken, wings & steak. I guess if there had been a problem with thawing this way, I would have known about it before now.
