Has anyone used the Kingsford Charcoal with Hickory? Is it meant to be used by itself or added to regular KBB just to add flavor? I had someone give me a bag and I want to try it out.
Both the Hickory and the Applewood are great. They do burn a little faster than the regular, although I've burned a bag or two of the professional charcoal, and found it too, to burn faster
That stuff is probably better for Grilling than for Smoking (probably not enough smoke wood in it, but you could add a little less than you normally would).
The stuff with Mesquite sparks quite a bit, but I do not have experience with that particular flavor of K
