So the cook went great aside from the skunk incident. 2 of the butts went 13.5 and one went almost 16. Timing was good, set up a canopy in case it rained, it didn't but it was hotter than 2 rabbits making babies in a sock (had to, sorry). 2 butts would have been fine for the "first sitting". Maybe since I did sandwiches and not just pork and slaw on the side. People filled up. But late night err early morning I starting making more sandwiches and also sent everyone off with a doggie bag.
Which leads me to another thread here. Do you always do sandwiches with butts or just meat, slaw on the side? I do both but sometimes I want people to taste the smoke, rub, and sauce without the slaw muddying it up. Anyway thanks to all for your input. Doing 3 butts for a party stateside saturday, man I need to do some ribs, maybe sunday.
