Looks like the deck may be composite........but it is hard to see from this far away..........Looks good, Chuck! But be careful with the pan-style ash catcher on a wooden deck, though...we rented a cabin that had some terrible burn scars from a charcoal kettle.
I think the newer ash catcher is a better option than the old style pan. I put one on my older (1990) kettle, using worm drive hose clamps. It gives me a little more peace of mind, although it's not perfect.Looks like the deck may be composite........but it is hard to see from this far away..........
Doesn't mean it won't be affected negatively by insane hot coals........My wood deck has a few scars..I try to pay attention but a few sneak by every year.
Loving the look of the new place Chuck, I dream about something similar all the time.....
Staying away from all carbs all the time or just being better where you can?
Lol. Bonnie Prince Grilly. All hail the Prince! (very handsome)
Yeah, I need to cut back on the food, and carbs are a pretty easy cut for me. I did double duty for my company (Controller / Driver) and boy did I fatten up. When I hit 220 back in May, that's when there was no denying I needed to change. I just dipped below 200 and the goal is to get into the 180's. It'll be a lot easier now, daily hikes are in my near futureLooks like the deck may be composite........but it is hard to see from this far away..........
