Port dam forwarding, lol

Xfinity wifi modem(It sucks)
Using No-Ip service

I want to solve this problem that I have been trying to figure out for a good long time.

Problem......I can not connect to the Heatermeter off home network.

I can resolve my No-ip address on my home network, just fine.

So I can type 10.0.0.69 or myheatermeter.ddns.net while on my home network and I can log into the Heatermeter.

When I'm on cell service, and I try myheatermeter.ddns.net, for a split second I can see the Heatermeters UI page that you always see just before the graph page starts up and that it and it refuses to log in.

I have port forward 80, 8080(I ran the script on the HM to look for this port, also), and even tried 443 and nothing seems to get to the HM.

I have tried just about everything except going to another router, which I know will work, as have done in the past, but I want to keep the xfinity modem/router combo unfortunately.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Felt your pain once. I currently use an ASUS ax6000 with an ax88u hardwired as a mesh. I got tired of CenturyLink, in my case, of supplying crappy modem/Wi-Fi routers. I forgot to mention that I connect to CenturyLink using a draytek vigor 2866. CenturyLink claims that my draytek device isn`t compatible, but quess what, it is, and it outperforms anything CenturyLink currently has to offer. You might just follow your gut and connect a separate router to the Xfinity modem and turn off the Wi-Fi on Xfinity device. I connect to the ASUS routers without any issues. Another plus is the wifi signal is much better with the separate router. System runs cooler as well. Modem routers can run very hot which can degrade their performance. My connection also doesn`t go through the cloud. I can connect from my iPhone too when I am using the EDGE browser which is nice if I run to store for something during a cook. Hate using cell data to do that, but it works.
One other thing to mention. If you have fiber and you have a fiber terminal outside that connects to a modem inside, Check out Draytek website for their fiber modems. Nice thing about my device is when fiber hits my street, I will be able to connect my modem's designated wan channel to fiber node and not have to buy anything new.
