Pork butt price & wood type

Likewise, pecan is the best all around smoke wood in my opinion. Getting it free from a grove of trees down the road doesn't hurt either....

Know they're "cousins" but talked to a guy last November with an old rusting barrel smoker beside the road on Elvis Presley Blvd, about a mile from Graceland, that was using pecan. Butts looked and smelled great! I bought fresh pecans from him but no butt. I'll be looking for him the next time we go to Memphis.
