Here's the red head in action.

Chicken legs were smoked first and used pecan wood. Then boneless thighs grilled direct. Used webers zesty lemon for the seasoning.

Here's all the chicken. On one plate.

Nice addition to the family, going to give her a little TLC? Dinner looks tasty, how was that hot sauce?

When you do, post pics, great looking grill, now you have an Angels red grill to go with your dodger blue

I could not think of a better way for a great grill to end up than at the Grill Master of L.A's house. Great looking chix my friend

Tony - beautiful pictures. All of them. :D That red head of yours, with the Patent Pending stamp, is from late '68 - '70
All in all, it's in good cendition. The color change once these get hot is awesome. Take a daytime pic of it cold and again later when it's hot and you'll see a big difference. These older colored grills are also more prone to porcelain popping with charcoal banked against the wall. I have a beater red I'll bank, but any of the nicer reds I have only get used with charcoal baskets. Obviously this is your cooker and you can do as you wish, but I'm just trying to give you a heads up.

Beautiful grill, beautiful wife, beautiful cook, and great choice in beverage! (wifey & I had an Apple Ale last night also)

Use charcoal baskets only to protect the porcelain?

The bowl is perfect ....no joke. No scratch or chips and vents open perfectly.

Now I need to buy a cover for it.

Nice addition and meal Tony! It's going to get well deserved attention inside and out that it was built for from you!

Use charcoal baskets only to protect the porcelain?

Basically, yes. A lot of the older colored grills have "porcelain blow out" at the points where the grate support straps are welded to the bowl. No one really knows the cause/reason for this, but it's a very common sight. Would hate to see that perfect bowl of yours look like mine does. lol
