Please forgive me...I'm a bit "dulled" by hops....

Bob- they were only paired that close for the pic :D
George-the WSM is for smoking, I was wanting a grill. now that you're telling me it's value will go up, my devious mind is wondering if I should leave it as is and unused to trade off for a performer or 22.5platinum. darn the decisions!!! :)

Bill, If you decide to sell that one after all and get a 22.5 or performer, just keep looking on CL. One will eventually turn up. I found a red one in Daytona for 100 but like your guy, they didn't answer 3 emails even though the add was still up. A week later I found one almost brand new in my city for $75 dollars. I couldn't believe it. But it took me 6 months to find one

Also if you find a OTS for a decent price you can order the bucket/catcher parts as Dwain P did and make it into a Gold

quick update- it's still unused. I've wanted to break it in, but the threat of rain has kept me from doing so. I have an ash catcher assembly on the way. which will make it one thermo away from being a gold. not sure where to go from here though. do I drill the chipped Budlight lid and make a functional OTG w/an emblem? do I do the lid thermo and a bail/bale to make it a master touch? do I ask weber for a replacement lid(I got this setup second hand) w/logo? if logo isn't possible, but a color match is, do I get it, then mod one vs the other?

If the powers to be ever said to me " You must eliminate all your Weber cookers except one " the Performer would be my choice to keep. The gas assist, ash catcher, table, ability to move around and I can grill and or smoke makes the Performer, For me and my family the easiest and best cooker for our needs. Take a look at the Performer Bill, I think you'll like it.

What Bill said......Exactly what Bill said !!!!!! ;)
