Plan B

I found some very nice looking bone-in ribeyes at wholefoods for $12.99/lb so I picked one up. I salted it and left it for an hour on the counter, then went out to fire up the gasser and it wouldn't start. After quickly perusing this site I used others' suggestions and fired up the WSM. I cooked it with 1 hickory chunk at about 350. I meant to pull the steak at 110 but it was 119 when I got to it. I dropped the grate to the coals and finished direct for 2 min per side. Plan B has now become plan A, the steak was a little more cooked than I prefer since I pulled it late, but it was still pretty great. It had a subtle smokiness and had a much better crust than I would have gotten from the gasser. Thank you WSM and TVWBB!
