Pizza night

I made some sourdough pizza in the oven for dinner tonight.
Yeah I know it’s Fathers Day and all that but I wanted pizza.

I made 2 pies.
One was supposed to be standard sausage and mushrooms and the other pepperoni.
I grabbed some veggies from the fridge and saw that I still had a bunch of fillet sweet corn so I fried all that up.
For mushrooms I used portobello.
I’ve never heard of using fillet sweet corn on pizza but let me tell ya it was awesome.
I highly recommend a little fried bbq’ed corn in pizza.

One pie was cooked on my pizza stone and the other (the thinner pepperoni ) was cooked one rung above my pizza stone on the perforated pizza dish I just got.
I did this as a test.
I found that the one cooked on the stone had a crunchier bottom crust.
I sure if I used a gasser the results would have been different since it’s a different type cook and all that.

You know I like pizza, Andy (and sourdough), and these look SO good! Nicely done, sir! I'll take two slices of each, please!
