Larry or anyone else. Can you tell me if this is good stuff for sealing propane connections.

Bruce, according to everyspec.com it is rated for low pressure steam and water lines. No mention of use for gasses.

If you expand the picture on the listing, it says suitable for NG on the label.

Don’t know what to say. I just typed in the code tt-s-1732 that it conforms to in everyspec.com and it said low pressure steam and water. Same thing on chemsol.com. Maybe I am looking up something wrong.

FYI the Rectorseal 5 that LMichaels uses is only 20 cents more than the Rectorseal T plus 2 on Amazon. Hope this helps.

OK, I bought the stuff that I linked to. I had to make an order for some Genesis caster wheels, so I just added the pipe dope. I am sure it will work fine. I think it is the same stuff I had before, but I couldn't find it when I needed it today.

Thanks for all the replies. Unless someone tells me what I ordered is not a good idea to use on propane connections, then I will feel confident in using it..

Yes, it's suitable for NG but not for LP gas. See this chart:

Bruce, I think the only reason it doesn't show certified for LP is LP has to be able to take the liquid as well as just the gas. I don't think you're in any danger if you use it on LP. Just don't turn the tank over
