I did the same, Josh! Turns out that the only one I had was a black one. Pretty hard price to turn down!I just ordered 4 of them and with tax and shipping it was just under $20. I think they may even be NOS Broilmaster temp gauges
Absolutely! Glad you got some.I did the same, Josh! Turns out that the only one I had was a black one. Pretty hard price to turn down!
Undecided on repainting? You can always swing back and do that after you get it cleaned up and working properly.I'm undecidedView attachment 120418
Undecided on the look. I'm thinking I like it, but it's hard to do the little flame and I really like that detail. This was a VERY quick once over with a square palm sander so I'm sure I could do betterUndecided on repainting? You can always swing back and do that after you get it cleaned up and working properly.
Exactly my plan, it was just something I could do quickly. I always enjoy envisioning what the final product will look likeUndecided on repainting? You can always swing back and do that after you get it cleaned up and working properly.
I think satin or semi-gloss would look good. I used a Krylon high heat satin that they don’t seem to offer any longer on this one:Eric I think it could look really cool with the logo sanded down after paint. I'm not planning to do that on mine. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to go flat or semi-gloss
That looks really nice Jon! If all goes well I'll get my Broilmaster P4 finish this weekend and I'll see how I like the paint on it when finished.I think satin or semi-gloss would look good. I used a Krylon high heat satin that they don’t seem to offer any longer on this one:

I like that idea. I just might give that a whirlView attachment 120421
These are the knobs from my newer version “double.” If you wanted to take a walk on the wilder side, you could try painting the Broilmaster name and flame light blue similar to how some of us paint the kettle red on the Weber badges.![]()
That looks like it should clean up great!I remembered to weigh the main burner. InsaneView attachment 120506
They look great to me! Mine are in the mailbox and I'm to tired to get up lol. I may put one on my P4 also.My new thermometers arrived today.
They seem to function well enough. I can't test for accuracy as well as I hoped because my probes max out at 572º and both sides were higher than that. I think with replacement heat shields in both sides and some lava rock inside it should even out a bit better. And obviously I need to adjust the main grill side as the flames were far too yellow
