Performer top rack

I have one last chore to complete the cleanup of this baby................but do not know how-to.
There are 10 weld points on the top rack of the otherwise great condition rack. Did I see somewhere that one can use a little propane home torch and some rod for a spot weld fix ? Or was it only for aluminum. Gotta get to the BUTT....any assist would be really fine..........Thanks Dave D.

You can braze,solder with a propane torch, but to weld base metal you would need an Oxy-propane torch. Thats one cylinder of propane and one oxygen with a dual hose (red (fuel)-green (oxy)
New grates with the pop-up sides are not that spensive, about 18 bucks out here.
