Pear wood?

I'm running a little low on my favorite apple wood, but I just cut down a dwarf pear tree so I have a decent supply of it.

I've never used pear wood but I would think that it is very similar to apple. Any thoughts?

I would use it exactly like apple. If you really have a discriminating palette, you might notice a difference, but I'm sure I wouldn't.

Pear wood is great I have been using it for the last few months and I like it better than apple. I usuly mix it with a little hickory.
