I stopped at an orchard that had not cleaned up there prunings yet and they said I could have all I wanted. When I got home I started to cut it up and found it rather soft. I had pieces cuttings 2" to 4" in dia. and 4'-5' long
I guess the real question is paech considered a hard wood or soft?

Mike peach is good. When I have a good supply from the orchard, I'll use up to 40% peach with hickory, oak or, pecan.

It is much softer than apple.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I ended up with about 50lbs after I cut it up.

Make sure you keep it up off the ground and away from insects. They just love fruit wood. I keep all my fruit wood in the garage or basement.
