Packing for resting

Hi,
First, greetings - I'm back. Secondly, a question. I was researching resting on the board and it always seems that folks use towels or sheets for filling the cooler when resting meat. I use newspaper which has a better insulation factor than cotton, and has the additional advantage of being tossed after use.

Is there something I'm missing?

The only reason I don't is that we don't get the newspaper anymore. The internet is killing that industry.
