Original retail price?

Anyone have info regarding the original average retail price of the Weber Genesis Silver C from 2001?

I can tell you the retail on my Genesis 2 back in 92 was $599 and I paid $549 because it was a floor model and the Genesis 2000 models were replacing it. Bought it at Kay's Merchandise in Rockford IL.

I think a Genesis Silver B back then was about $500, so $600 - $700 is probably where your grill fit.
So, where did you get that picture? Do you have that brand new Silver C grill?

I picked up a new in box 2006 Silver B in the spring of 07 for $350, found it on a random garden center shelf at Walmart and I was ecstatic. I couldn’t really afford it at the time but I couldn’t pass it up. That thing moved all over the country with me. Virginia Beach, the Outer Banks, Alaska, and then finally the DC area. 12 years of moving and grilling took its toll, I sold it for $100, then found this forum.
