Opinions needed on selling two SS Performers

I have two SS Performers that I'm going to be selling.

One has the original propane tank that will be included in the sale, the other has a adapter hose for a 20# (tank not included).

One has a cover, the other does not.

The Green lid/bowl is in good condition, the Maroon/Plum has the handles bolted to the lid (previous owner's fix) and a few dings in the bowl.

What are you thoughts on getting the best selling price for each?

Would it be better to package the better condition Green performer with the cover and original tank or just the cover with the adapter hose?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Performers are all over the place as far as prices go, I know I looked for one for over a year. I picked up my 2009 platinum in mint condition for $50. Yet I’ve seen SS models in fair shape selling for $100 or more and as low as $40, seems to be more of them for sale and a higher demand for the SS models. I wanted a newer version because their about 2-2 1/2 taller and my back likes that better. If you’re going to use CL I would start at a higher price and best offer, if no takers you can always come down. Don’t know where you live but hit some of the more populated areas on CL and see what there going for then make a decision based on what you see.

Good Luck

Check your local CL and see what they are selling for... Go from there. I think you can sell them on this site also...

I would tend to group the nicer parts together, that way you have one nice one and one cheap one to sell. I don't know why, that's just me.

So would you consider a Performer to be more desirable with the original tank or with the adapter hose?

Looks like one of your priorities is to get the highest price. As time is money, go ahead and list them near the higher end of prices. You have the choice of waiting for a bite or after enough time passes, lowering the price.

Time is money, money is time depending on how your priorities balance will determine the initial price point.

I have 3 Performers - '11 in Blue, '98 SS in Blue, '98 SS in Red - all in original condition. For me, the adapter hose version would be less desirable and the original tank would fetch a few extra bucks. But,,, there's a strong chance that tank certification has expired. Does the tank have the OPD valve? If not, then you can't even get it refilled (legally)

Just as an FYI --- I paid $100 for my blue SS and just under $100 for my red SS

I have a newer Performer that I had no problem paying $75 for. It was dusty/dirty but in perfect shape.
I have always wanted a SS performer, any color and I was prepared to spend up to $100 for a MINT shape SS one.
I ended up grabbing another 18.5 WSM instead that came across my path but I think these are pretty typical prices. A very rare color might fetch another $50 or so I'm guessing.
