One way to deal with high gas prices...

See if there's a tribal fueling station near where you live.

There's one here just outside of town and gas prices there are 70 cents per gallon cheaper than anywhere else. No that's not a typo.

The reason gas is so much cheaper there is that because it's located on tribal land, their not subject to the CA state and fed gas taxes, etc

There are a couple downsides to the place. The first is that it is a little out of the way, but not that much. The second is that they're not open 24/7. This one is open from 7AM to 7PM.

So see if there's one of these places near you.

We've got tribal stations right on the highways here but unless you're a Native American, you pay all th etaxes.

Fortunately the one here is open to anyone. Doesn't matter if you're not a tribal member.

I was hoping that they might sell propane too, but no such luck.

Tribal stations here are much more expensive. The only ones I saw over $6 this summer.
