One Grill.Com Spit Rod

Last year I purchased a Cajun Bandit Rotisserie Kit that is fitted with a crome plated 5/16" Square Spit Rod in which the Cajun Bandit Folks purchase from OneGrill.Com. I am now wanting to purchase a Stainless Steel Spit rod, however, none produced at 5/16" size; So, they do have a 1/2" Stainless Steel Hexagon Spit Rod but not sure that it will fit through the hole on the Cajun Bandit Ring to insert into the Rotisserie Motor. So, will appreciate any comments from you Cajun Bandit Rotisserie Experts on this matter.

Oh, I did call Chris of Cajun Bandit who told me it will be a very tight fit.

OneGrill does have a 1/2” stainless steel spit rods with 5/16” square drive and it will fit into the roti motor. The issue might be the shaft collar.

I own a 5/16” square spit rod and 1/2” hex spit rod from OneGrill. The end on the 1/2” hex has 5/16” square drive.

A new shaft collar will be require to fit the 1/2” hex. You’ll have modify the SS ring to accept the larger diameter collar shoulder.

I measured both collars and SS ring with calipers this morning.

Reviews on Amazon are somewhat mixed as this Adjustable SS Spit Rod needs connectors to fit a Weber 22" Grill.
