Old WSM, new water pan?

Why would you want either?
The old one was too shallow and held little water (smoky joe lid). Well, the new one is too deep to heap charcoal and wood (smoky joe bowl).
The Brinkman water smoker charcoal pan is JUST RIGHT. It's cheap, and you can much more easily stir the coals if needed...by far the most common sense "mod" to the classic 18.5" wsm, both new and old.
