Old Red I picked up today

As luck would have it I was in Oak Brook for lunch and figured while I'm out here I'll give the lady a call and she still had it. Here's some pics of it, pretty rough. Anyone know how old it is? Also, one of the leg sockets is coming off the weld...can I just drill through it and re-attach with a nut and bolt? I don't have access to a welder so that may be easiest for me. Paid $25 for her.

Yep, a nut&bolt will fix it. Just drilling through the spot weld can be a little hard on the drill bit tho.

Looks like the one I grabbed three weeks ago. Looks like it is a pre '79 model. For under 25.00 you can get a whole new lower leg kit for her from Weber.

Your wood handle don't look too bad. PM Brian McNeal, he makes extremely nice replacement wood handles. He is making one for me and I can hardly wait.
