I use "Old Hickory smoked salt" in all my rubs.
If youve never tried it then you need to find it and start using it.
Which brings me to my question.
For those of you that may be familiar with it you know how costly it is ($6.00 for a small bottle) in the store.
Does anyone know of an on line source for this wonderfull ingrediant?

Thanks in advance

Don't know what you're asking about, but if it is hickory smoked salt why not just throw some salt in a stainless steel mesh screen and smoke it with hickory? No idea what kind of salt to use but the screen can be had in various meshes to accomodate the size of the salt used.
I just wonder how much smoke salt will absorb.
