The original location of Double D's BBQ is in Corwin but a couple of years ago they opened a second spot in a small storefront in downtown Lebanon, and I visited it last August. It's basically a carryout place but there's a high counter and a few chairs in the front window where people can eat. I didn't get a shot of the exterior, though.
I'd read good things about Double D's so I was looking forward to trying the food. The menu's fairly small so I went with a pulled pork sandwich, which had good flavor but was fairly dry.
Fortunately the green beans and mac & cheese were on the money and I was more than happy to finish them. Green beans up here in WI are mostly steamed, boiled, or sauteed so when I get the chance for southern style beans with pork and onion it's a nice change.
I visit Lebanon every year so if I get the chance I'll give Double D's another try in about 5 months. Given the positive reviews I've seen on line I'm hoping my sandwich was just a hiccup, as any of us who've barbecued pork know can happen.
