Oh, the bread. I will die without you.

You may not understand it. The bread here, is, well, beyond phenomenal. Like I will die when I fly home because I won’t be able to have it until my return.

It is perfect. Crunch outside. Soft and airy pillows inside. And the fermentation and flavor of perfect.

I won’t admit to enjoying three Iberico jamon mini baguette sandwiches a day. It didn’t happen.

Guess you'll need to practice some bread making techniques.

And another funny thing in Europe. You don't hear people complaining about gluten this or that or no gluten. It's the glyphosate they use here I think

Stop, you're killing me! You've found my kryptonite.

Brett, we would really miss not being able to see you in person here in the USA, but, do you have to leave there?

Eventually we do have to get home. Wife starts her classroom in a week or so. I’m now behind in work. All good things come to an end.

So I’ll have to plan a new beginning down the road to get back here sometime.

When I lived in Nuremberg we had a bakery in our same building.
It was my job to get fresh bread at dark ‘30 every morning.
Fresh hot bread with a bit of butter or some of Omi’s homemade sausage.
Oh the abuse that they put me through!

We don’t have a decent baker any where close to where we live now.
The people here think I’m nuts for whining because well that Costco has a mighty fine bakery.
Don’t cha know?

We have a well, locally popular bakery ot far away, but prices are daunting. My favorite has been Costco French peasant, but when we move, a new Food Lion opened and they have some great products including fresh Italian which has turned me away from Costco. I should try other offerings but no rush.
