Is there a real difference between red and white oak as far as flavor and does anyone have any prefrences thanks guys

I've used both. Prefer white due to it being denser than the red.If I can't get white either one is good.

I tell myself I can tell a difference and prefer red, but in a blind taste test could I really tell the difference? I doubt it . . .

I've only used the red from smokinlicious and love it. Bought some bagged white from Meijers and it was ok.I need to try the white from smokinlicious as they sell both.
